Thank you so very much for posting these pics!!! I'm hand quilting a queen size and using the stab stitch. It is slow but I just find it too difficult to load more than one stitch on the needle. I am definitely going to try your method. The pictures really make it clear what you are doing. You are such an inspiration!

oh how I wish on a million stars I could do what you do. I bought a wholecloth quilt top and it is already marked. Maybe a could to start with that. Someday.

Your work is incredible, so even and tiny. And all this freehand.... wow, you are something else! Just beautiful quilting.

This is the way I quilt also. Only I use #9 needles and about 4 or 5 stitches at a time. My hubby made me a frame out of pvc pipe and I use plastic clamps to hold the quilt in place. It is made to fit me in my computer chair. That way its just right . The height is made for me. I'll send a picture with this.

If you would like to see pictures , you'll have to email me . The dang things wouldn't work. I do have pictures to share but can't get 'em on the attachment

Your stitches are so tiny. How many stitches per inch?

That depens of the fabric and the batting I use - in general I do 12-14 per inch (counted on the top). Sometimes I can do one or two more.
