I doubt you'll have a problem, VickiM, I think most are getting it ok. Have fun.

Thanks to all for liking the pattern - I thot it would be a pretty addition to the 'year'.. As far as printing it out, I always hilite the part I want, save it to Word, then can critique it the way I want it, ie: less words, larger print, etc.. I'm sorry it's not working for some of you - hope you can at least get the templates to print. I'm looking forward to the different fabrics to be used.

    Hugs

Was your BG still 12.5 x 12.5? I* like the wavy stem & leaves, they do look more natural. Also noticed a little border at bottom. It is soooo cute. I'd like to make 5, 1 for each GD that I hope to make them a quilt when they graduate. Girls are soooo easy but boys! That's a tough one but am making star blocks right now (1st graduates in 3 yrs, then GD & GS next yr, then GD next, GD then in 2 yrs & lastly baby, 2 yrs after that.
    Pray I can do it.....
You know "some day" is not a day of the week..

Yes, I cut my base block about 13", then AFTER I appliqued the flower and leaves, pressed - I then trimmed block to 12 1/2" and added the corners. If you don't cut your base block a smidge bigger before appliquing, when you do the stitching, sometimes it takes up a bit. Easier to trim than to have it too small. There isn't a border, that's my design wall.lol

Holy cow sounds like you'll be bizzy for a bit... Yes, I agree, girls ARE easy - you can always do star blocks, pinwheels or flying geese blocks for boys. Have fun. 'Some day' ISN"T a day of the week??? Darn, no wonder I can't get ahead, I keep thinking 'some day'------ hahaha

    Smile My April Tulip

Jean, love this block and the fabrics you used were great! Here is my block! It's hard to see but in the top of my tulip there are bees there so I used my bee fabric in the corners, thought it fit in!

Oh how cute..I see the little bees. Good job.. Wouldn't this make a pretty quilt, using a lot of different springy prints? Hmmmm, another project for 'some day'. I know, there's not a day of the week for 'some day'....but---- lolol
