Mary, I used squares cut at 9" square, sewed edges turned, quilted .... then mistakingly measure 2" from corners and drew a 45 degree line and sewed with outside fabric facing in. When I turned right side out I asked myself "self what did you do wrong? You do not have any points to turn down." Finished size is approx 6" square...the little corners give the box it's shape. ThAnk you for asking.

Thanks Judy.Love the phrase " self what did you do wrong? You do not have any points to turn down." Most have worried what to do with "the points". LOL.Remember I am laughing with you not "at you" Mary

My last box for the January Project of the Month. I decided to embellish this box with beads as that is something I really enjoy doing to my small quilting projects. The fabric is a flowered batik that has yellow/orange dots, that is where I added the beads. I have one side left to do and that is the front of the box. The 1st picture is the front, the 2nd is one of the sides and the true fabric color, and the 3rd is a close up of the beading. I have really enjoyed this project and am looking forward to the next one!

That's really pretty Gram, the good ideas keep coming.

I think I might make one more -- I want to try the flat one Judy made by "accident". Looks like a great dresser tray.

SulaBug, thank you for providing this wonderful project for the first project of the month. It has been fun to see everyone's fabric boxes and the ideas they came up with to change them. I know that it is a project I will continue to make for gifts. THANKS again.
