It is great to see how everyone is travelling along and the blocks are looking really lovely. My DH has just updated my design wall for me here --

DottyD, I love going to your design wall and seeing your progress. Great work. Sure wish that feature was still available. Keep up the good work.

Everyone - your blocks are all incredible!! Dotty - love the wall! Wish I could make mine work
Spartan - your points look great - it is really hard to get a fine point in applique. I think an inner point is easier in some respects although even the best applique artists I know and have seen on quiltshow segments say it is impossible to avoid seeing the thread you use because you are pulling in or laying down just a thread or two when you get down in that inner corner. You have to put a minimum of three stitches in to hold it down without fraying [and possibly use fraycheck as well depending on the fabric.] If you use the exact color thread as your applique, an additional 'tack' out from the point of the fabric ever so slightly will make it appear you have a very fine point. I have learned a great deal about applique from my friends Margarete [http://www.quiltquest.net/Index.htm] and Rita [http://www.ritaverroca.com/] who are both international award winners - no I won't ever be as good as either one of them!!

Nancy - I disagree...if we take the time to plan our sewing right when we are perfectionists and critical about our own work [I think we all are most critical of our own] it may seem longer, but it actually takes much MUCH less time because we don't reverse sew

Yes, Gus. That was my point. It may take longer up front, but less time overall.

Hello ladies! How are you? I very hope that very well! I congratulate them all! All blocks are impressive! Wonderful and magnificent! Many thanks to all for your beautiful words to my gifts and by telling me you miss me! Your part is very sweet! Many thanks Gus for making me notice about rules DJ, I not the used yet. Here I am at the end part of the finished parts of my house. They are already all the walls repaired and placed makeshift Sockets. Now... we need to wait a while. That the painter come and tell us if painted in 10 or 20 or 30 or 60 days. They must be very well dry walls, so that not appear yellow spots in the new painting. So on Sunday I returned to my seams! I'm happy! And I finished my AOTH Block # 6! I show them a photo of the block and the 6 that I have finished! Today I'm in bed with the flu, so I hope that tomorrow I feel better and I can lift to return to my DJ that is so backward with respect to you!
I hope that all spend a wonderful day! A big hug to all!
