when I've done paper piecing for wall quilts I didn't take the paper out at all.
Some antique quilts have been found to have newspaper or catalog paper still in them. I don't think paper was so acid then though. I wouldn't leave it in for a quilt I was going to use, but on the other hand paper just goes soft when it gets wet...

Please don't get overwhelmed by the number of pieces. Like anything else in life you do it one piece at a time

I just had to order two more packs of Carol's paper for my blocks. I am running low!! I've done 9 blocks so far and I am enjoying every one!!

Wonderful blocks yall! It's so much fun to see how color choices make a difference in the blocks. Keep up the good work everyone.

I leave the paper in until the quilt is ready, so that the corners and joining lines can be used for getting all the blocks perfectly aligned, just like in joining the quarters.

After looking at everyone' beautiful blocks I just HAD to order the book. It came in Friday and I have the first three blocks done. Does that mean I am caught up?? I think so.

I am truly LOVING these blocks and how easy they are coming together...a bit time consuming...but very easy.

Anyway, I am going to try attaching pictures of my blocks, but it has been a long time since I last posted pictures, so I hope it works!

Wow what a beautiful assortment of blocks each one special.

Carriem touched on the subject of stabiliser but I will add a little more info for you. If you wish to leave the stabiliser in, yes it will add bulk to your quilt. However you will not be able to run it through your printer therefore you will have to hand draw each block (not so much fun) and stabiliser can distort when pressed with a hot iron.
I personally would not use it
