This top needs a border & then I'll donate it to the charity group at my guild. I know it will be appreciated.
Thanks so much Judy and to all who are sharing this "ride" .

Everything looks so good. RJ - I love your scrappy. I have 1 row finished. I hope mine looks as good when it's finished. She wanted red and that's what she's getting.

I managed to get one block done today. I’m not going to use sashing between the blocks. I want the secondary pattern where the white areas will form a diamond for fmq purposes. I’ll use the sashing fabric to make one of the borders.

Dsenters, I think your blocks look great. I like your colors. I'm afraid mine is much busier than yours. I'm going to use a single fabric for the sashings to try to calm the quilt down. I wanted to use up some kids' fabrics, and they all have a a lot of contrast, so they look very chaotic. I have 5 blocks done and have turned some pieces but caught the mistakes before completing the assembly. I really like the block design, but I'm not too happy with my fabric selection.

A hard lesson... pressing my top, I found that some blocks had bled into the white. I prewash my fabric but also get lots of scraps from my friends. Oy vey, as we say in NYC! I guess I will wash the finished top with color catchers and see what happens. Stay tuned!
