Wow, ladies your quilts are great so far. I got my large triangles cut out today. Mt blocks so far are 7 1/2 after I square them up I am losing my points. Oh well I still love it.

I have both of my sets finished except for trimming down to 12 1/2" My 9 " blocks worked up perfect once I trim 1/4" from each side. I'll try to post a picture after I trim them.

Debbie-dear: Love the fabrics in your great blocks. Fun!

Dotty: Your red and black/brown version is amazing. Just glows!

Have my first set done and the second set, light tri/s are on. Just have to cut the last round pieces today. Had power through the strorm yesterday so got to sew. Yay! Is it only Wednesday?...Can't wait for the final clue and reveal. This has been so fun! Thank you, Judy!

Hi guys, hope you're weathering the weather!

I'm about ready to sew my big triangles on to my big squares, but I can't decide between random placement and controlled. What do you think?

    random:

    controlled

I'm leaning towards the controlled placement.

The grey came about cos of laziness!
I'd prepared 24 large squares for strings, to be cut in half, but by the time I'd made 8 of these I decided I'd had enough of strings for now, so I stopped at 12 and cut them into quarters instead!! I do like the windmill effect it gives tho . (Can I say it was a design decision? )

Wow, Siodach, great blocks. Wonderful creativity! I, too like the second version. It gives some rhythm and lets the pieced triangles shine.

So many beautiful interpretations! This is definitely going to be a standby for scrappy. I really want to try the constant large triangle, it gives such a different look. Also like the constant in the small light triangle. So many things being shown that I love.
Probably late to post this but I found that after the lights are attached to the four patches, trim only to leave the 1/4 inch regardless what it measures. Then, if your to small, make your triangles oversize so you have room to trim to the desired 12.5 without losing points.

This is all "12" of my blocks finished. They certainly do look different all together from when you work on them individually.
