Check out the Dear Janes under the quilt gallery under pictures. Lots of inspiration there.

thanks for the pix site. After looking at all the variations, I have decided to make my sashing a shade of blue. My DJ will be a lot of shades of blue with natural cream muslin. After Christmas I will start to learn the software with help from a board member. You would think that a computer guru for several insurance companies wouldn't be brain stupid, but I am. -- I'm looking forward to starting. -- Mim

thank you for this. I really enjoyed looking at the different ideas and creativity that others have done. I guess mine will be really different too.

I do have one question. The squares come out 4.5 inches but when you put them into the quilt then they become 4" squares. Is that correct?????

yes, that's correct... we're using a 1/2 inch sashing in between the blocks, these are used to connect the blocks side by side. (cut at 4.5" x 1.5") you would then use a long strip 1.5" tall to join the rows together.

How many people are doing QAYG for their DJs? I'm strongly considering it.

I'd like to join in. I did start and then things got too crazy. Maybe got 10 blocks done but they were the hardest ones.
