Losie, I love yellow, too. The Kona cotton is for the sashing and background, right? What colors are you using in your blocks?

Hi. I love the RK Kona Cottons so much so that I bought a color card to have on hand for just such an emergency!

The RK "White" looks white white to me. PM me if you would like a swatch to see if it will work.

I've decided to use the white on white cotton prints I have in my stash as background. I'm pretty sure I have a 2+ yd piece I can set aside for the sashing, if not, I will buy it. The 'print' is very subtle and I find it gives quilts a little more sparkle although I did decide on Civil War fabrics and there was certainly no 'sparkle' during that time... maybe I should ask my close friend who loves Civil War quilts her opinion... opt for white on off white??

Thank you for the offer, Fraew, I finally went out and looked in person for what I had in mind. They had to order in what I wanted but it should be here by the end of the week.

I have what may be a dumb question -- on the triangles -- BR1?? bottom right 1 ?? RS7 right side 7 ?? But what is TR 5 -- and do we count from the top down?? and are there left sides??

I told you it was a dumb question !! LOL

Not dumb at all -- took me a minute to think about it! TR is Top Row, BR is Bottom Row, RS is Right Side and LS is Left Side.

on right and left you count from the top down. on top and bottom you count from left to right. btw the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. i used to say "dumb question" till the ladies here gently reminded me that the only way to learn is to ask questions
