    Ok Ya'll; Here's what I got.
First I had an Ah-Ha moment! Since I'm using the freezer paper method, & only using the finished pieces, it was getting wasteful to print all of those pages just to get all of those little squares. Then I thought about the line drawings & how they are the finished size. So I printed out the line drawing (of the Alabama block) onto one page of freezer paper & cut out each piece as a template. Then I pressed these onto my fabric, added the 1/4" seam allowance & cut 'em out.
    Here's Alabama.

Second; I'd decided not to make the Apple Tree out of the patriotic fabric so this is my substitute block. The Arrowhead.

I have decided to make the Apple Tree for my cousins quilt. But I'll do it slowly maybe by the end of this week or next.

Great blocks DublB ... Not being an American, I don't think of RW+B color schemes. I'm starting to think differently! I'm liking it!

JanRN + Art EC ... I don't have your fabric, but I do smile when I see someone using the same as some I have in my stash! Around the world in fabric!

Thanks Ya'll. I really appreciate it. I'm a history buff & very patriotic. When I saw this fabric I thought the old look would go great with these blocks.

I think that's what's attracting me, the antique effect ... rather than the bold/bright RW+B

Bev, great blocks. Love the patriotic fabric. Also great idea just printing the line drawings. I also felt I was wasting a lot of paper so I'm just printing the templates unless it's a block I want to paper piece then I just print those pages.

Great blocks with great color combos! I too enjoy seeing "my" fabric in others blocks! mirabelle's used some of "my" fabrics in her FWS and she's a continent away too! Just wondering if there is more "western" fabric the further west one travels. I find more "farm" fabrics than "ranch" here in the Midwest.

    Hi JanRN, really?
Well, It seems to me they are the same color but not just the same fabric, as my isn't an American fabric. Anyway it is amazing for me being riding with all of you, no matter how many miles we are far away from each other. So right, quilting does build very long bridges!

Here are my week 2 blocks. I was right on schedule with these blocks and then my daughter(age 14) had a seizure. Having never witnessed a seizure before it freaked me lot. I spent most of the night saturday in the ER with her. I went fabric shopping yesterday and it wasn't even fun. I just feel like I need her near me. I should feel less freaked out soon...

Back to my blocks, in order to make the apple tree upright I had to make the block 6 inches, the pieces were very small that way and I am suprised it came out okay. The other block came out too big but there are no points on the edges so I don't care

Oh my fryguy, I'm so sorry about your daughter. What a scare, I would react the same as you I'm sure!

Your blocks are just perfect! You really do great work!
