I've been keeping my eyes open for blues since I started the FWS and it was pretty slim pickings at my LQS. They've been getting in more that work well for what I'm doing.

And just watch ... once you don't need them anymore, there'll be scads of them around!

This is the Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt from a book by that name. It's available on Amazon. I'm really late to the party too but am posting what I have done. The original group did 2 blocks a week and it ran for 55 weeks. They are 6 inch blocks but it still makes a big quilt. Several made 2 lap quilts. I started mine before I even joined QB but have been sidetracked with other projects and am just now showing them off with the intent of completing the quilt top. If you go to the archives for block of thr month, you can see threads for pictures of them in groups of 25 and then the completed quilt. Really some beautiful work. It's never too late to tag along. Some of the original FWS people are cheering me on right now.

Welcome CTipton ... GGal has given you a good rundown as to the FWS quilt-along and background.
Here's a link to the finished FWS quilts if you would like some inspiration .........

As GGal has mentioned there are many other threads leading up to this finale ... which you may want to look at as well.

Here's a link to Laurie Aaron Hird's website. She's the author of the book and designer of the quilt.

So if you're interested in doing the quilt, we'd be thrilled to have you add in your blocks as you make them ... and we'll be here to help cheer you along!
