Just Takes 2 Quilt-Along!

I'm considering modifying the basket if I can figure out how to do it. I want to eliminate the row of HST's closest to the open top of the basked and bring the handle down to meet the second row of HST's. This will give me a larger "opening" in the top to place a nice floral.
Will let you know how my experiment goes

Redraw the piece with the handle and trace the piece you want to eliminate directly under the handle piece so you have 1 piece instead of 2. Make the handles longer.
Stichinluver, you made gorgeous blocks!

I have just finished blocks 14-17, still have the turkey tracks one to go but that shouldn't take long. I followed the comments above & made the basket one slightly big & trimmed it down. But #17 comes out at 9 1/4" unfinished too! grr... this is so frustrating! I think in future I will start tracing the paper piecing sections into one whole block on the freezer paper so I can adjust it if it's too small. For the ones done thus far I will just have to remember which are small when it comes to joining them up. I'm disappointed with the sizes but very happy with how they look! I can't stop staring at #17 I think it's so pretty!

I just finished cutting a bunch of the colored blocks for the geese in broken heart and I said to myself ... why is it telling me to cut TWELVE squares then cut each of the 12 on the diagonal for the geese when there are TWELVE geese? I only need to cut 6 squares!! Each square cut on the diag is plenty big for the geese.
fortunately I only cut 7 squares when I caught the error.

Cutting directions for block 17 really screwy
Background (white)
Step D is ALL wrong. It's not only cutting rectangles for the "sky" of the geese, but it's also repeating the rectangles for the center that were already cut in step C.
Step D should read
Cut twelve 1.75" squares then cut each on the diagonal for the "sky" of the geese. If you prefer to cut it larger and whack it off, then make the squares 2".
And the directions for the colored (red) as I mentioned earlier, step C has you cutting twelve 2.25" squares then cutting each on the diagonal. You only need to cut six.
I'm also assuming by the size of the other blocks (all in multiples of 3" finished size) that this block FINISHES to 9" which means I when I'm done piecing it I need to have a 9.5" block.
I think I need to start checking their blog to see if they are posting corrections.
