Default Anyone know anything about MacKeeper?

I don't recall loading this - but it seems to be showing up for updates -

Should I try to get rid of it?

What is you security software, McAfee? I would contact them directly. My friend keeps getting this notice too on his computer.

If you have windows, the free windows defender protection is better or as good as any of the paid for virus, malware, and spyware programs. It updates itself, no reminders or pop ups.

MacKeeper doesn't have a good reputation and is considered annoying malware. Definitely get rid of it. There are instructions if you google for them.

I had it popping up like crazy, when I did a google search and found it is not a good thing, it has nothing to do with Apple and got rid of it. I think you will find your computer will be faster too.

I totally agree. When ever I get a new pc the first thing I do is get rid of Mcfee, if I don't and don't renew with them I have nothing but problems. I've been using Win Defender for years and never have any problems and you can't beat free

Get rid of it ASAP. You can look it up on line on how to get rid of it. It will slow down your system to a crawl. My sister got it on her mac and my husband talked her through of how to get rid of it. DO IT NOW.

A Geek at the Apple Store uninstalled it from my Mac. He said it deletes files it shouldn't. Get rid of it asap.
