I hope everyone in these states are ok. There is a huge electrical outage in AL maybe thats why she hasn't been able to get on.

Has anyone heard how Missy is doing?

I hope it's only power outages, too. When my son called last night, he had no power in Huntsville. I won't hear from him until the power is back on because he has no truck to charge the phone, either. Someone ran a red light and hit him two weeks ago.

Such crazy weather. We're expecting snow again this evening.

Good morning everyone. I'm checking in. DH and I are okay in AL. The closest tornado to touch down near us was about 10 miles away. The winds were horrible. Sounded as if it was ripping the roof off, but fortunately it didn't. We are fine. Our home is fine. But yesterday's storms caused so much devastation all around. Lot of lives were lost. Lot of homes flattened. We are so thankful and so Blessed to be okay as well as our home. The sun was shining earlier, but now the clouds are looming.

I hope you all have a good day of making healthy eating choices. Sandy

    Checking in.
We had a tornado hit 5 miles below us and 10 miles below us. We are fine but the streets are flooded in Corinth. Cars are floating in parking lots.

We have sunshine today, and yes, we CAN talk about our every day lives.

I, too, am grateful for the sunshine.

As the reports of damage surface, its just unbelievable.

Sandy, MJ grateful for your safety.

    Irish, snow? REally?

Carrie, I am prone to emotional eating with news like this. Not much we can do but pray.

Emotional eating is a huge downfall here. My stomach hurts today as I ate too much last night after talking to my son. The tornadoes were still active when he lost phone service and now he's involved in the clean up. I'll be glad to hear his voice again.

I need to clean up the mess from the Navy quilt and get back to my third daughter's birthday quilt and a granddaughter's birthday aprons. I haven't heard the deployment date for the Army grandson so I don't know how much time I have there. Deadlines do keep me quilting, but are hard on my house. Clutter, clutter, clutter, gr-r-r-r!

Today I can tell, my appetite is starting to come back. I have had to fight the urge to overeat today. Thank goodness I have no junk food in the house as I may not have been able to resist. DH is going by Cracker Barrell on the way home to bring me a chef salad for dinner. yum yum.......I hope you all had a good day and have been doing good making healthy food choices today. Sandy
