No you are not crazy. I have to have the hum of the fan at night. It helps with the ringing in my ears.

I hate a fan blowing on me! Plus my eyes are so dry that I can't open them in the morning if the fan is on me.

You are not crazy, I like the white noise of a fan too. Unfortunately in the winter it is just too darned cold. Sometimes I use earplugs and I have in the past used CDs of ocean waves and running water. Anything to help calm my busy brain so I can sleep!!!

I started this thread. I also think it is funny to find this thread has been revived! Thanks for all the "your not crazy" comments! LOL

I'm also glad I have so much company in the FAN club! - Pun intended!! *GRIN*

I have gone from a fan at the foot of the bed to a fan at my shoulder on my night stand. I move the fan to suit myself through the night. In the winter I face it away from me so it goes around the edge of the wall instead of over us. When I wake up in the night hot I turn my small fan on me for awhile til I can fall asleep again. I really like being able to change the fan when I want to. I can direct the flow of air as I like it.

In the summer my DH will turn the fan at the foot of the bed on too. We have window AC in the summer but he still will run the big fan sometimes too as well as my little fan. I have a 14" fan on my nightstand just inches from me.

i cant sleep at night with out the fan running, bunnie has his tv running at the other end of the house and I can hear it so the fan drowns out the noise, the other thing is light, i have to have a dark room to sleep light wakes me even if bunnie goes to the kitchen and my door is not closed or my back is not to the door while i sleep i wake up.
and i'm not a happy camper over this
