I am sure they are to their hind ends in snow right now, but I like this picture brochure....I wish we could pull up stakes and go right now...can't you just see quilt retreats up there????

We went to the Laura Ingals Wilder house, once, in 2002.... nice area as I remember.

If I could, I'd like to have the "big house" to my cottage and use it for a quilters retreat.
Two huge bedrooms on the top floor could be used like dormitories.
Two huge living rooms on the middle floor, with great windows, high celings and a fireplace in each, would be the sewing workrooms.
Bottom floor, an above-ground (English) basement contains large kitchen, dining room, screened-in-porch, and laundry room.
There is a huge yard with wonderful trees to sit under for lectures or handquilting frames or picnics.

And I could still live right next door!

Beautiful house! Jan, love your idea! Let us know when to arrive lol
Jacquie, I would give anything to be at that house on PEI (Avonlea). Can you imagine sitting on the porch quilting??
Ahhhhhhhhh, I'm gonna go to bed now and maybe have some sweet dreams :)
