In Topeka KS my daughter said the Gov. has called off work tomorrow for State employees.

Is icing up here now with snow to come. I may have to develop a cough and take a sick day tomorrow.

My daughter lives in Parma and is probably hoping for a snow day. She teaches and I swear she loves snow days just as much being a teacher as she did when she was a kid.

Be prepared, we are in the middle of it now. Our high tomorrow is to be minus 1 and a low tomorrow night of minus 15, wind chill minus 30. Very icy, dangerously cold - please be careful.

I have been hearing for Illinois to expect 17 to 20" by Thursday, we haven't had this much snow since the year 1967. Anyway everyone stay in if you can and be safe and warm, for all of you who have to drive in that mess please be careful and drive safely and allow yourselves plenty of time. HUGS

Whatever did people do before they knew what was coming? I'm just taking it as it comes and not watching the news. We have lots of frozen containers of soup on hand, a wood stove and a kerosene heater. Blessings on all of you to be safe.

I've been watching the weather. I found out our schools are already closed tomorrow. Yippee!!! All day in my sewing room! Just finished 2 throw pillows, getting started on a baby quilt for next week and working on a queen size for the end of March.

Yes, we have heard that we will be getting a double whammy with ice, rain, more ice and then snow in an undetermined amount. Heard this evening that they are expecting 3 ft. of snow in Chicago. Maybe the system will run out of snow before it reaches us (don't I wish!!).

When I was teaching, I looked forward to snow days as much, if not more, than the kids!

We here in the Buffalo, NY area are expecting 1 to 1 1/2 feet of snow and then we are sending it off to the east coast. Have been doing this all winter and it seems to be working. We haven't had too much snow this winter, but it has been cold.

-14 degrees here with the forecast of much colder. Wind chills of -35 to -45 tomorrow. Winter is certainly hitting the good old USA. No school here today, and probably not tomorrow.
