Myrna, looks like all the rain was dropped on you. You must be up around Lafayette, I saw on the news that they got seven inches of rain. Hope it never got in the house. Here, just outside of New Orleans, we got very little rain.

Oh my gosh! It has been pouring here in Baton Rouge, but we don't have the problems you are having! I hope it recedes fast!!!

Sure hope you gals don't get flooded like they did up here last summer. Never saw such a mess and I just got back from down there and man does it ever stink. I guess that is what happens when lagoons, manure from barnyards and backed up sewage get into town. Can't imagine living with that smell 24/7. Glad I can go home to my house on the farm that doesn't stink more than some cow poop.

Average snowfall for us is 69"/year. So far we have had 113" this winter and it is snowing again tonight. We are ready for it to warm up and rain. Water level in the cistern is getting low.

So glad you didn't get water in the house. Been there done that in two different houses and it's NOT fun. Praying for you. If you need help, can come from Beaumont to help you.

I just can not imagine water levels such as that and with a house so close to the ground.. I am praying you all stay safe and the weather settles down for you all.
