I took off those horrible brown long socks as soon as I got to school and hid them in my desk. Imagine the trouble I got into when I got hurt at school and my mom came to pick up a bare legged daughter!!!! Glad those days are in the past!!

I didn't grow up the era of stockings, but there are days I'd rather wear those than a pair of control-top pantyhose...

you can find some neat stockings here: http://www.sockdreams.com/products/socks

Fishnet, and the black patterned ones too. Little diamond shapes? I loved those stockings. I liked pantyhose when it came out . I was smaller then it was easier. :-/ . I thought my DD was crazy when she starting wearing garter belts and stockings. Remember sitting on the wooden school desk seats and getting up and having those rubber hook thingies melded to the back of your legs OUCH. Now if I have to wear anything I have bought a pair of thigh hi's . They are still in the package but if I need them I have them . LOL I wear long skirts so if I need something I wear sheer knee hi's .

    Thank you for this site.
My DGD loves the toe socks and since I am not able to wear cute funky clothes anymore I do my funky with socks. No one really sees them but I know they are there. :-)

It's almost impossible to find panty hose around here. Seems most of the ladies that wear dresses do so bare-legged.
