Woke up to the sun shining and found out it's going to be warmer than yesterday which was a great day for taking friends on a boat trip after church. Bought subs and took ginger beer to drink with snacks then tied pontoon boat at our favorite log which we call our outdoor lunch stop.
Friend and I took some sewing stuff that needed our seam ripper while we were boating.

Waking up always makes me happy. The cooler weather helps too.

Wonderful 59 degrees this morning, along with sunshine a plenty and my tomato crop--all four tomatoes, one nearly ripe, after the record heat this summer. Those tomato plants have been gutsy little dudes and now are blooming like mad. I might get a half dozen more. The cynical scientist in Jurassic Park says, "Life finds a way," or something close to that. Those tomatoes have proved it.

it's my eldest daughter's 28th birthday today. She lives in Binghamton. She called a little while ago to tell me that my husband (her dad) called her from his work to sing the birthday song to her!! I love that man!!

One of my daughters' recording on her phone says to leave a message and also tell her one good thing that has happened today....she gets a lot of positive feedback.

I'm excited and thankful that I have another day here on earth; that I have a God that makes Himself evident in every day; glad for my health, even as old as I am with issues ! Glad to have my little apt, my independence, my ability to get around, sew, cook and do pretty much what I want since forced into retirement due to heart attack.

Would like to say that I had a husband, a part time job and a finished quilt ! So it looks like one out of three is doable !
