In central Maine it's 66, partly cloudy but lovely with T-storms expected this afternoon.

We broke the century mark yesterday for the first time this year. The century mark means 100 degrees. The weekend is supposed to be a little cooler.

Yesterday it was 96 here and humid, very little breeze. Miserable weather and I'm sure hotter temps are well on their way. Bye bye spring hello summer...

In San Gabriel Valley (30 miles east of Los Angeles) it was 85 in the shade today although it started out somewhat chilly. Yesterday we had sprinkles. Supposed to be much warmer over the weekend. I read last week that over all we will be having much warmer weather this summer (about 3 degrees above average) throughout the USA. To this I wonder "Who cares", anything much above 90 and it pretty much all feels the same - Thank God for the person who invented A/C!!!!

I think Spring has forgotten us here in Willamette Valley in Oregon. Every day for the last couple of weeks has brought us torrential rains, gloominess and chilly temperatures. But I know that when Spring and Summer do arrive, they will come in with a bang.

It has been over 90. You can tell its hot when the cats lay on their backs and legs spread with no fear of another cat jumping them, the dog kept looking for a cool space to lay down preferably tile, and my birds are super quiet. We now have a small break in temp. so all animals are active again.

Well, it's officially summer here - gonna be near 100 degree this afternoon.

I'm just happy that I don't have to be out in it today. (been working in the yard this past week)

Here in Somewhere in Time it is an incredibly beautiful day. The birds are singing, the sun is shining and there is a gentle breeze from the west. Mother Nature is truly in a good mood.
