Welcome from the Gulf of Mexico, Corpus Christi, Tx. If you haven't told your girlfriend about the quilt you're good til you get it done. DH doesn't know he's getting one even though he has done some work on his own. He likes to get into it. He thinks he's been helping on our son's. With the new tv seasons that has interfered. He knows I haven't told our sons about theirs. His won't be done by Valentine's either. So maybe by fAther's Day or his birthday. better left unsaid. Fix her a great dinner and flowers and chocolate/ wine/beverage. ?ever. You'll love this board the more as time goes on.

    Welcome to the board.

Go ahead and tell the girlfriend your'e making a quilt for Valentines day, just don't be specific as to the year.

Get those mise en place skills conditioned to new "ingredients"

Gotta love a guy with ambition! And can I say your analogies to cooking made my day. Mise en place --very helpful when quilting--and a lot of fun to say! Welcome from MD. My DD gave my hubby and me a great gift for Christmas that are looking forward to This Saturday--she has paid for a personal chef to come teach us how to make his grilled salmon dish--and he will serve it . A date night in! Any tips to help me prep for his arrival?
