so much for staining the decks. I figured, it's the holiday I should do something fun. So I'm in my bathing suit, getting some sun by laying on the lounge for about 10 min. getting up walking around and talking to ds and dh. came to see what was happening on here. think i will grab a couple of pattern books and start planning my fall table runner. I love to look at my books....

How come your labs are scared??? I sew with mine (3 of them) at my feet anyway but just curious to what had yours being a mamma's puppy today.

I am going to be working on my daughter's quilt later today and I hope to do some hand quilting on my mom's table runner so I can get it completed and ready for her birthday next week.

What am I doing to keep busy over the Holiday? I have sewn together the blocks for a Sunbonnet Sue and "Farmer Bill"(?)and need suggestions for quilting. I was given 20 sets of these and am overwhelmed at the hours of work put into them.
Could this be machine quilted or would it look better with hand quilting? I believe the ones I have seen before were hand quilted around the figures . What type of batting is desirable. Anxious to complete this one and start working on the second half of the Sun Bonnet Sue Blocks
Thanks for mentioning that Joannes coupons were out, I hope to save a little $$$ using them. Is muslin a good backing?

I'm rearanging my sewing room and found some UFO's so I'm working on them. Also found some pretty Pieces for hand embroidery. Love to do that while I watch TV

I'm working on my July doll quilt swap project. It's all sewn together and basted. I just have to decide how I'm going to quilt it and with which color thread.
