The instructions suggest cutting the fabric to fit the die shape not the die. I cut up my old mats to cover just the die shape when I only want one shape from a die with multiple shapes and that saves a big mat from getting cut all over. The mats will wear out so stock up on those. Most of my dies are over five years old and still cut like new. I had trouble with one die and Accuquilt replaced it.

I was considering one, but then thought of it this way- would you pay, say $25 for several cut heart shapes? I wouldn't. And I doubt I would use this machine to cut squares or triangles. That's just too easy to do with a rotary cutter. I like the shapes, but I would have to use soooooo many to get my money's worth out of this. That being said, I have an embroidery machine, and I doubt I'm getting my money out of that, so " to each his own "!

I bought one for myself for my 60th birthday and I love it. Shop around online for the best prices -- which are probably not on the Accuquilt site. One tip for when you get ready to get more dies -- be sure to fill out surveys at the Accuquilt site and also write little reviews on products and patterns. You will build up points that can be used towards a purchase.

I love it for fast piecing and especially hexes.

I just received a sale flyer (online) that advertised the GO for 199 - regular 349....'just checked to see if I flagged it, but can't find it now---'been spending too much $$$ so I didn't want to be tempted!! Good luck. What does one do with all the wasted fabric tho??

I don't have wasted fabric !! I cut closer and only wast is about 1/16 , maybe a 1/8th and that is all.

I love my GO (would not get the samller one as you have more options with the GO)!

If you have wasted fabric you are using it wrong. There should be only 1/4" wide waste around the die. What I really like about it is every cut is the same size, not a variation at all. When I cut with a rotary cutter the second or third cut will not be exactly like the first cut. I have the Alto Quiltcut 2 and even those cuts are not as accurate as the Go. My blocks seldom need squaring up. It's not for everyone to like using it but I'm sure glad I like it.

i did a price comparison of several places at christmas and the quilting warehouse had the best prices by far.
