I was watching the show one time and a woman came on who had a quilt that either her great grandmother or
great, great grandmother had made. The quilt was lovely, but the most interesting item about the quilt is that
the woman who made it was a slave at the time she made it. It increased the value a great deal because there
are so few quilts left that were made by slaves. As with most quilts in that time period, they were made to be used
and they were used and washed and used and washed. In any event, the quilt was appraised at $30,000.

    I saw it too.
    Nice quilt.

But I think they price items very HIGH.

Thanks for the video, I was surprised when she said most would be worth $300.00! That seems unbelievable low to me. Is that correct?

Talking Some things just keep on giving!!

The quilt obviously had taken a very long time to complete and a lot of love had gone into it. Did you notice how vibrant the colors were? Not only was it made with care, it has been cared for with love.
Thanks for sharing. My DH has taken control of the TV and what's watched.... NASCAR is back! LOL

I too saw that show, and was stunned at the beauty of the work.

Can you imagine making a quilt that would be worth between $3,000.-$5,000.00
