I looked through a magazine yesterday that didn't really turn me on. It goes in spurts.
Also, I am very spoiled by all the great things I have found through QB! I have a complete library on my computer. It would be safe to say that I don't really need to find anything else. I don't have enough years in two lifetimes to do them all! LOL

I'm thinking that I will try Fabric Trends, now that Mark Lipinski is editor. And I may try online Quilters World. Where is there room to store these magazines?! We have an exchange table at our Guild so I can often read magazines I rarely buy.
However, even if you use just one pattern, it is still cheaper than buying a single pattern. I agree that the magazines now seem to serve the manufacturers needs rather than quilters'.

really think they are running out of ideas. Been there done that type of thing...anyone else think so????
it seems to me that they are more interested in promoting a manufacturer's line of fabric than actually making something unique. personally letting all of my subscriptions expire.Originally Posted by plainpat
Same reason I no longer get mags. Just same ole same ole. There always seems to be new ways of making a quilt, but we hear about it on line more often than in mags.really think they are running out of ideas. Been there done that type of thing...anyone else think so????

The reason they all look the same could very well be because many are owned by the same publisher, which also owns Keepsake Quilting. I would like to see some things that aren't super easy or aren't super difficult.

glad so many agree...I really don't know what they can come up with new..I usually take a few in every month for guild and put them on the table. Free for the taking and please don't bring them back LOL...I give alot to my DD and tell her if I have torn out a pattern. I have a notebook full of potentials too. Right now I am just working on UFO's and am determined NO new stuff til the pile goes down.
