Default This Board is Money in the Fabric/Notions Bank!

I am so thankful for the amazing information, advice and teaching on this board. It happened again the other day with the thread about the Clover Craft Iron. I started reading since I had just bought one and found out you have to heat it up and let it completely cool 4-5 times before it heats properly. If I hadn't seen that I would have thought, as some posters mentioned, that something was wrong with it and probably let it sit in a drawer with the intention of returning it- but not really getting around to it. So that would have been $30 down the drain. I can't count the things I've learned here that have saved me money. Anyone else have this experience? Thought it might be helpful to newer members of the board to benefit from things we've learned from each other. Thanks for helping me save money!

I agree! I honestly thought that someone was having a joke when I first read about it--I mean, really, glue a quilt?

I would not be a quilter today if it weren't for the awesome people on this board who helped me believe in myself and gave me the encouragement that I needed to try, try, again after each of many screw-ups. Thanks a million everyone.

And such a great community sharing information about vintage and antique sewing machines! Where would we be without the fabric and machine acquisition enablers?

I never used to call myself a "quilter" until I started reading this board. My confidence has grown and I enjoy showing my "creations" from time to time.

I'm continually amazed by all the great freebies that the people on the board know about. The power of the board when it comes to research. I'd never find this many if left to my own devices.

I agree. Can't number the times that I've read stuff on this board that has helped me and I've been quilting over for over 10 yrs.
