i would be tempted to put 'triangle' sashing on each of the blocks so the blocks are framed at an angle. then you can trim those to the same size to sew them together in a quilt.

Once you put a border around each block you have them all the same size. Then you could use them together. You could make a quilt with it and safe some blocks for matching pillows.

To use them individually your creativity has no limit. Pillow cases, Totes, pincushions, table runners, mug rugs, aprons, pot holders, hot pads, etc..

Get inspired by all the suggestions and find your own path.

Yes, that is what I meant. So sorry. Make each block have a different size border then square each of 'em up to the same size block. I also like the "wonky" idea. Clear as mud?
The colors could anything. I just put the colors that I would've used.

Thanks, everybody, for suggestions! I think I will weed out the most poorly done blocks, which are bothering me a great deal. Once those are out of the mix, I will feel more enthusiastic about doing either straight or wonky borders and getting the blocks the same size for a smaller quilt.

I realize that I am a newer quilter, but I do not think the quilt police will care if the corners don't exactly match and a few points get cut off especially if they are put into a larger project. I think you are more apt to notic flaws on a table runner than a bed quilt. That's just my opinion. The idea of making them a bit wonky might add some interest as long as it did not take away from the designs of the blocks too much. I think it's wonderful that you are willing to salvage them as someone spent many hours putting them together and it seems a shame to have them just sit around getting old....

Id sash them off in white, and use a black-ish blackground cornerstone at every intersection. bordered off with grey with black speckles and finish off with a marbled black thick border...

Do a 'twist and turn' type edge on all of them and then square up. Here is a picture of my quilt that I did this with then added sashing for bigger size. [ATTACH=CONFIG]304545[/ATTACH]

I would do what dublb suggested. Other good suggestions were mentioned though, mug rugs, etc.

Without reading all of others comments, here are my puny suggestions. If you want to get this over and done with...leave out the orange block, sash all the others so they are all the same size, even if sashing might be different sizes on different blocks. I think it would give the appearance of different size blocks all stacked up. Unless it REALLY bothers you, from just looking at the pictures, I can not see that the cut off points stand out very much. I have found that most folks who aren't quilters never see all the little imperfections that we quilters see. I think it will be lovely just as it is without slicing them up. I like boxes that aren't square. :-)
