I thought it would be interesting to hear stories of children's reaction to doll quilts.
    Here's mine.
When my grandson was 3 I made him a quilt for his teddy bear. When my daughter put him to bed she also covered Teddy with his new quilt. My grandson's reaction was, "No mom, it's my job to cover Teddy."
Teddy and his quilt still sleep with him. He is now 6.
    What is your story?

Boy...I guess I'm not awake yet and the words are running together. I read that as "when my grandson was 31 I made him a quilt for his teddy bear". Maybe I need to go back to bed!!??!!

Me too! When I got to the line where she said he still sleeps with it I had to go back and reread. LOL

I met a fabric designer on another Board. he sent me some of his fabrics for my charity quilts. I wanted to do something to show my appreciation. I learned he had a granddaughter about 2 or maybe 3. Very young. So I sent a doll quilt for the little one. He wrote to tell me that when he gave it to her, she knew what to do with it. She got her doll and wrapped it....just a natural female instinct.

(When my grandson was 3 I made him a quilt for his teddy bear)
Some children never grow up. I also did a double take on the age.

Sorry, for the confusion. I typed it in the wee hours because I couldn't sleep. Wording it differently would have helped.

That's o.k. It gave us all a good laugh to start off the day.
