    I have read and watched many, many, many etc...(lol) articles and videos on quilting and I have never heard of blocking a quilt...but i guess if you were going to use it in competition or as a wall hanging it couldn't hurt...but then what do I know I haven't been quilting that long, only a few years...

    Yes I block my quilt when it is time to put the binding on. Sometimes the borders can stretch.

    If I knew I had to block every quilt I made, I think I would give up quilting. I quilt for the fun and creativity of it. Blocking is just hard work.
