I type all this into word and print out on printable fabric.

I would really like to get better and label ALL my quilts.
Where do you get printable fabric from? Does your LQS carry this? Also, what kind of printer do you need to have to do this?

I've only completed 1 quilt so far and I embroidered the info on a piece of fabric then hand sewed it on.

You can buy packages of the prepared fabric for printing at your LQS, Joann's and Hancocks. It is paper backed and what I have used calls for an Inkjet printer. You can also purchase a solution called Bubble Jet to treat fabric and then press onto freezer paper to run through the computer. Be careful and follow instructions so you don't jam your printer. You might Google Bubble Jet for more info. There have also been some great discussions here on transfering photos and printing on fabric....you might search the list. I use an embroidery machine to make labels for quilts I make..but for the family pieces that I want to write a "story" about the treated fabric sheet work well. Hope this helps.
