I have made one quilt with Texas wildflower printed fabrics but, otherwise I don't think my location influences my quilt pattern or fabric choices.

The colors arent the issue, or the sewing - I love all color so much its hard to pull just one something together. The issue for me is, the weight of the quilt as a whole. Being in a very warm south, if I want to get any use out of any quilt it has to be very lightweight, thin batt, or if using heavy fabrics, no batt. sharet

I love bright bold colors with black. Not sure what that says about me.

I guess you could say that about me since I have a picture of a texas wallhanging on my avatar.
Also I just picked a pattern at a quilt show that has outline of texas with texas wilflower fabric for it. Maybe get it done in the next five years.

Sometimes. My favorite colors are the blues, & I tend to be drawn toward them a lot. But the local Hispanic culture & Southwest colors have also influenced my color choices into much brighter hues and earth colors, like the reds of the red rock canyons, for instance.

    Yes and No.
Yes I tend to be drawn to greens and tans and yellow and oranges (fall colors), and I live in the midwest in the woods.
No, because there are quilts I have made for certain people and the colors were chosen for them.

not really, but I am in the southeast and I do like the southwestern colors, so that is on my bucket list for one day.

Desert quilters, are you using earthy colors?

I'm a long time swimmer so I gravitate to water. Live near Cape Canaveral so add all the NASA stuff. Love animals and my Lane where I have lived for over 50 years. Played piano and organ for years so music is appealing and last, I'm a Master Gardener so plants and flowers are always a favorite.
