My DH wonders if I am a quilter or just a collector of fabric!!! My goal this year is to finish his t-shirt quilt and other WIPs. But, I still get to buy fabric!!

Wish I could do stuff like that, but can't sew a lick. There are many times and lots of tote patterns later that I wish I was able to do this or that. I collect the patterns and then wonder what the heck I am doing with a sewing pattern, it does me no good.

I am so happy I'm not alone with this creative mess. I have several pizza boxes of WIP. I actually got a pizza box empty where the Garfield quilt lived for a long time. Yes, I think projects take on a live of their own. Now that Garfield is done and gone out to the door to his new home, I really miss that project. But the empty pizza box is calling for a new project.

Never too many different projects doing at one time. I am somewhat disabled so I am at home 95% of the time. My day works like this; sorta clean up the house, cup of tea, pills UGH, then the creative area for more and more ideas. I usually quilt during the day of half a day, then a nap (us oldies get tired), then move on to some beading and in the evening I sit on the couch turn on the TV (opps the TV is on all day long (not watching, just noise) and then I do hand work while hearing my favorite programs. Oh dear then to bed. Creative minds are always on the move. Thank goodness for each of you because now we know we are not alone in what we do. Good thoughts

I do the same thing. Not enough time to do all.

I just call it "Giving in to my sewing spirit". In short I do what ever I am in the spirit to do.

I think it means you don't want to do whatever it is you're working on. Sometimes I tell myself I'm going to have a whole day of sewing, and then spend the morning on the computer, wasting precious sewing hours. I think it comes down to whether I want to sew or not. If I haven't sewn for a few days, I can't wait to get to the machine and nothing gets in my way. If I've been sewing a lot, I'm much more distracted.

Gads, this sounds like normal 'creativity' going on.

    enjoy it.
