So for the past 2 days I have been working on a Mystery Quilt that has been cut out for about a year now. I had 278 3-1/2" squares to make most of them with 3 pieces for a total of 822 pieces. Well I was ironing all of them and was so excited to start the bigger squares when I realized I had made 52 of the squares wrong. I had to change one of the three pieces. So to my seam ripper i went and after picking stitches out ironing the pieces again and sewing them back together the right way its now 10pm and to tired to make even one block. OK i feel better now, that i got to vent.

I do love my seam fixer, just like I love erasers on pencils. They let me fix my mistakes before everyone gets to see them.

Actually I much prefer to use embroidery scissors for frogging... not much on seam rippers. So sorry about all that frogging, bummer!

Actually, I like my seam ripper just fine as long as it sits in it's little drawer. I don't mind it as it's doing the job it was intended for. The right tool for a job really helps. What I hate is ironing the goof ups, squaring the blocks,(if they can be saved) and sewing them back in place. It seems that no matter how carefully you put them back, that don't look quite as good as if you had done them right the first time.

It is a love/hate relationship..lol. Then yesterday, I dropped Mr. Ripper on the tile floor and the tip broke off! I've never had that happen, so we'll be purchasing a couple of more today.
