    Back in the 70's I made lots of clothes from double knit. I gave all the scraps to my mother. I wasn't a quilter at the time. Mom made quilts from the scraps and used flannel for the back. She tied them instead of quilting. They are indestructible and wash very nicely. I still have the ones she gave me. Double knit makes great drag around quilts for children.

    In the 80's I made alot of quilts out of double knits. Lone star pattern was my favorite. They are still in use today. Had them machine quilted by a long arm. No problems.

    I use the double knit for lap quilts to give to the vets at the vet center here. They are very warm and during the winter they are really appreciated!
