    Default Dragonfly-black or cream?

I wanted to see what the dragonfly block would look like on a black background and I like it! The second attempt worked better because I used my Elmer's glue stick to position the folded squares. My version of the blocks should have finished at 8 1/2 inches but are about 8 3/8 due to all the seams I think. I pressed the seams open on the black one and it seems to lay flatter. The name of this pattern is Dance of the Dragonflies at Southwindsquilts.com if you didn't see the post -Do you know this Dragonfly pattern.

I don't know this pattern, but I really like the black background. It is easier for me to see the dragonfly on it.
