    Default Electric Quilt Program

I have EQ5, don't know how to use it and there is no support for it any longer, thinking about updating this program. Who has this and is it really worth updating. Or is there something else out there that is better. I really hate putting all that money into the program.

I can't say if there is anything better but I do enjoy playing with my eq7. I am not great with computers but I have found my way around it to some degree. If you never used the one you have though maybe you will never use the newer version. I would check out the lessons that were posted on here and see if you can work through them on yours before I would replace something that you already don't use.

i have EQ5 and find that most of the features of the newer versions have the same things as 5.. just not pretty windows stuff. i thought about upgrading many times but don't really find the need to. look in tutorials for Rhondas EQ tuts, most include eq5 instructions

I had EQ4 and updated to EQ5; I enjoy doing the lessons and playing around but know that I personally wouldn't spend any more time learning an updated version than I have with the EQ5. Yes EQ7 has some features that EQ5 doesn't but not enough to entice me into spending more $$.

I have just recently upgraded to EQ7 from EQ5. The basics are the same but you have to re-learn all of the icons. Rhonda has a great tute on this program on QB. If you have specific questions on how to do something, please post and we will try to do our best to help you.

I wonder if they offer a demo version so that you could see if you would like using it better or if it offered anything that you might need over what you have.

You might want to check Amazon or another sit, like one for discount books or such. for books about EQ5.

Just use your EQ5. Save yourself the money - at least for now. When you know that you can/will use EQ5, then you might consider buying EQ7.

I have and use EQ5 as well. Certainly not to it's fullest potential so I see no reason to upgrade. If your LQS uses EQ, could you possibly check with them and see if the have the manuals for 5 that they might be willing to sell?
