I am always delighted to read stories like this. I would like to see a picture as well. Very early in my quilting career I was pushed to enter a quilt that I was very unhappy with. It took a blue ribbon. Please people, remember that we are our own harshest critics.

How exciting! I keep thinking my work will never stack up against "real" quilters, so I've been a big fat chicken and haven't entered any. So glad you had the guts to do it and live to share!
