My Grandmothers' FW is in the bottom of my 95 year old mothers closet. Maybe I should dig it out and see what kind of shape its in. She has the wooden table that went with it but I'm not sure if there are any attachments. I remember her sitting by the hour and sewing on her quilts with it.

Go for it while you can! Those kind of things tend to disappear because mom doesn't think it worth anything~ at least in my family!!!

I would definitely liberate it from the cupboard. Good having the table, from what I have read here the tables weren't a common purchase.

I would definitely dig it out. My aunt has my grandma's vintage treadle that I played with when I was little and she won't give it to me!! She has no interest in it. I"m still working on her.

Oh please rescue it pronto!! My grandma gave away so many treasures thinking they were junk in her early stages of Alzheimers without our knowledge. Now my mom just wants all her special treasures gone. I hope you are able to rescue that beloved Featherweight! Thankfully my gram didn't give away her treadle it is in my sewing room

Many things disappear when no one is watching.
I hope you are able to get it. What great memories.
