I am real pleased with how this came out. I wanted the circles to really stand out from the quilt and they do. In oblique light the texture shows up. I got the idea from a picture of a quilt I saw on line. I really like how although the top is just scrappy with no real theme it looks Asian. It was made from fabric that was originally on a sample board so I had very little of each fabric except for the border. I experimented on the machine quilting and used some of my fancy threads.

I especially like the arrangement of the colors. That's usually the hardest part. Bravo!

I can't see for sure, but it looks like the circles are topped stitch with a ragged edge.
