Love the comment about the underware drawer. One of my favorite type of threads are pictures of everyones work space. I have to admit my space is rarely tidy, an understatement, but I love comparing spaces. Kind of like looking at a car accident, a sort of quilty fascination.

I like it when someone says, oh what are you working on and
I just show them my mess and they appreciate looking at everything in process. Yeah! I wouldn't allow her in there
again, next time, tell your DH that you will bring it out
to her. Room is off limits.

Did you happen to see "Enough is Enough" on TV the other night regarding a quilter who was making quits for Quilts for Valor. She was doing it in her living room and had over 2,000 lbs of fabric, that's right 2,000 lbs. Well, it was her daughter that had a problem with it because she could not bring family to visit. This poor woman loved quilting and giving and her daughter felt because her living room looked like a quilting jungle that her mother's priority was quilting and not the family. I felt sorry for her (the mother). I am sure the per say "family" only visits ever so ofter, however, Mom quilts everyday and loves it. So, Don't gasped at the mess, it's your mess and you LOVE IT.

I had this happen recently and (privately) was offended! There is a lot of creative energy bouncing around in my sewing room and it becomes a mess with all the projects I have going on. People who do not do any kind of crafts, don't understand this. I love my sewing room....I know it's a mess, but I can find most everything! :-D

You could say I am a bit of a clean freak, everything in it's place, all dusted and yes carpet vacuumed. I still get lots done though and while I am working on a project you will find bolts of material on the table, along with all the tools and the ironing board may be covered in blocks. But I don't like working in a clutter so always do a tidy up when finished for the day.
