    Welcome, You need to stabilize the fabric if it's stretchy or anything other than cotton.

    Yes, it is....I cried every time I cut into one of my son's shirts...but, it was so worth it when it was all finished!!

    Sorry for your families loss but you will be able to use the shirts and you will find any help you need on this board.
    I have a daughter and granddaughter in Dothan. My GD works at the hospital in peds

    So sorry about your loss, a quilt with the shirts will be special, I just finished a pillow in memory of my Mother and Grandmother, I used their handkerchiefs. good luck and patience(:

    I had a quilt done for my aunt after her husband died. She said this was the best thing she could of had. I had it made chair size so she could snuggle up and watch TV. She said sometimes it was like having a hug from him and able to snuggle up also.l

    I made my second quilt from this pattern, all from shirts I collected at Good Will for $1.00 each. Bonnie Hunter' site has many examples of scrappy quilts using recycled materials. Check out the left side of the site. I know someone from this site also posted a picture of their quilt made with this pattern.
