Lost me here---never heard of this.
Maybe someone else will remember this video. The woman used the wall instead of the floor ( much easier on knees :) ) She pinned the backing to the wall and sprayed it. Then put the batting sprayed again and the then the top. It was an easy way to baste a quilt. Sorry I can't remember where I saw it.

Here's the link to the first post I saw about spray basting on the wall. I do it this way exclusively now. Isn't this board wonderful? We get ideas from each other & then pass 'em along. I definitely like passing this along.:)

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I will post the quilt when I'm finished. A few more blocks, borders, and then the quilting. Instead of nervous, I'm now I anxious to get going on it. Thanks again.

When spray basting my first quilt a week ago, I had something funny happen. I turner the sprayer the wrong way and sprayed down my left side. The next thing I knew, My arm was "basted" to my side. I was laughing at myself so much. Such a dumb thing to do. I also used too much spray so only spray lightly as heavy spray caused me problems.

It would take a bit of twisting and turning, but if you had a template, I think it would be awesome to have a heart, diamond, club and spade, one on each of the cards. You could alternate them in the white spaces too. I wanted to do that on my lap quilt with "Card Trick", but I don't have the free motion thing down good enough yet.

I love your quilt...I just wanted to say I always spray baste, only use the 505, though!! I had tried others, and they make a gunky mess, imo...so, 505 only!!
