I also have a maltese named Buddy and he is 7 years old and wonderful. He has been a fantastic little guy since I got him when he was 3 months old.

I agree, animals come up with their own names, Brownie, Pit/Lab mix, became BoBo, Bear, Lab,border collie mix, became BooBoo, because of her dented forehead, Rodney is our chihauhau/pom mix, usually called Rotten Rodney or Rodinator (so spoiled) and we had a maltese named Snowy and another mixed malt/shitzu rescued from SPCA death row that we named T Rex. I agree that the maltese breed is the lovingest, but so are all the others. Not to mention another Pitt named Rudy, for Rudolf with a pink nose, Mandi Pandi, blk & wht peke, cats named Toy, blk & wht soccer ball, Mrs. Roper, talks (complains) alot like her former senior owner, and Missy Hissy Fit, a feral now tame, cat who bit my husband's finger and permanently disfigured it. We are animal lovers, can cha tell?
