    Great idea..........i got a letter organizer and put it to the left of my mat on the extra space on my table...works for me but if i ever need to change i like that idea.

    Great idea. I don't have a sewing desk so that wouldn't work for me. I put hooks on the wall behind the door and hang my mat and rulers there. I don't have to worry about the mat getting warped or my rulers getting broken and they are out of sight unless the door is closed.
