I have several quilts in blocks only my mother made when she was a young woman. I would say they date back to the 1930s.

I have blocks that my mom embroided before she got married so they are over 65 years old

I finished one this year that was at least 15 years old. What a great feeling, it was a paperpieced log cabin with 12" strips. I also have a New York Beauty that is at least 12 years old, maybe that will be my UFO project for 2011.

    I don't have any...

I DO have a WIP and several planned with fabrics chosen.

BUT...I only started quilting 4 months ago, and my WIP is my 5th quilt...

My rule -- sometimes followed -- is no more than three of ANY kind of hand work. At least it keeps the number of boxes down a bit LOL

probably 18 years. I do look at it though. It is all put together but only half way quilted. I think of it often in the last 6 mnths or so therefore I know I will be picking it back up soon and finishing it.

I have a quilt that I started for a niece that was graduating from High School. It is a pattern from Better Homes and Garden Quilting that had 6 small Lone stars with an applique border. I did one side of the applique and no more. The niece has finished college and has been an OB-GYN for 2 years. So how long is that?

My oldest UFO is a log cabin I customized and it only needs the borders to finish the top. It is about 16-17 years old.
