You sound like you will spend a lot of time enjoying this new machine, make it the one you want. If you need to justify it further think of all the pleasure you bring to everyone that you sew for, they will enjoy it too!

I got a pricey machine the year before I retired. I've been enjoying it the last 8 years. No regrets!

The problem with buying less than what you want is (at least for me) that I end up buying other things to compensate for the disappointment. That in turn puts me into more money than if I had bought the right one in the first place. Make sense?

Besides it is your main form of entertainment, right?

I bought a Husqvarna Ruby Royale before Christmas, I could afford it, I wanted it , why not? You deserve it, it's your money and you can't take it with you. xx

If you can afford it, get your heart's desire!

if you were buying it for someone else, you wouldn't be second guessing yourself. you paid $50 ages ago for a machine. you deserve this machine. it will be your new 'job' and you need the proper tools to use for it. you deserve this. just keep repeating this over and over. you're worth it. if you can afford it, don't worry, get it. you'll never look back.

Buy the one you want, with the gadgets, feet, etc. too. You are worth it!!
And perhaps paying cash for a machine, the dealer may give you a further discount, or other such perks. Worth a try.

I agree and when you retire you may not be able to afford it! Look at it as investing in your retirement - you can sew instead of golfing or another expensive sport/hobby (they all are)

If you can afford it and that's the machine you want, buy it! Too often I think we feel guilty about spending money for a "hobby." It's not just a hobby. It's a way to express your creativity and enjoy your free time. Other people paint, or golf, buy a boat and go fishing, or whatever. We sew.
