    Default Ink stain remover

    Has anyone ever tried this product? Any thoughts?

    When I worked as a nurse years ago, I was always getting ball point ink on my uniform. Who knows what was in the ink them, but what we used was one of those alcohol swaps to get the ink off, it worked great. you maybe had to swap it a few times but I don't remember a time when it did not take the stain off. I definitely would do a test run though as inks may have changed.

    It may depend on what kind of ink it is. Ball point ink is removable. Gel ink is not, no matter what. I found this out the hard way - hubby dropped a gel ink pen on a nice dress shirt and it wicked up an ink spot about 2 inches in diameter. I replicated the stain on scraps, then tried every remedy I could find posted on the internet. Nothing worked. I finally gave up when I came across a law enforcement website that recommended using gel ink pens to write checks, because bad guys couldn't bleach the ink out.
