This is my finished quilt runner that I started on Friday and finished tonight. It was my first attempt at a log cabin. It was also completely made with scrap fabric. I'm very happy with it!!

Well I did do something but not as much as I had hoped. Pictures show one reverse applique, applique on baby quilt and finally fingerless glove to keep my wrist warm so I can sew.

Well - while you all were quilting, I'm working in my kitchen....and my, oh my, it is a project. I'm getting new counters the end of March...Here's what is distracting me (I finally get to paint on Monday):

Oh my 117beca. You do have a big project on hand. Makes me want to go to my sewing room and hide.

sewmany......the home stretch is on the horizon. I have waited 10 years to be able to get rid of the orange counters!!! I'm waiting for the sun to come up so that I can go downstairs and paint. I don't do well unless there is natural daylight...In about an hour I'll be able to go down and get started. The cabinets also need to be painted, but that will be something i start next weekend.

Getting an updated kitchen is so nice, you will enjoy every minute of that room without the orange counters. Post pictures when done.

I just finished adding all the pieces to a landscape design of Lake Superior. Ready to quilt it, but at a stand still. Not sure how to do the trees, leave and rocks. Any ideas?

(Pix of the table are posted in the Mission: Organization board today). At any rate, I'm liking how this is turning out, and in between homework, I'll cut the black borders for it.

I absolutely love this quilt design! Would you mind telling me if you used 2.5 inch strips and how big each block came out to be?

Great job everyone!! I didn't get as much done as I would have hoped, but it was a busy day regardless.

Mark your calendars as our next VQD will be March 17, 2013 .... This is St. Patty's Day as well, so be sure to either wear green, work on something green, or eat green food (or at least corned beef and cabbage!!)

    See you there!
