Do you really believe you saved a lot of money on the sale or were things priced high to start with so they can afford to have all these sales? I personally am convinced that Kohls and Joanns and some other stores are just marketing this way. Sounds like it works too.

Yes, I went to Joanne's at 5:30 pm figuring it was safe to go. Nope, had to wait in line about an hour, for just one item. I know that's crazy, but I was there, and people in line were fun to talk to.

I bought a total of 76 yds! Spent 144.25 and saved 402.00. Crazy wasn't even the word but it was fun!

Happy that you gals got such big savings but I know I can't stand in line for an hour - maybe they should have a handicap line, LoL!

I spent 47 tonight on cotton and saved 96. Can't beat that but the line was still long. I should have gone during the game but DH wanted to go with me. I waited in line with the fabric while he picked up some other things. It all worked out.

I went today and picked up a bunch of the fleece and quilter's showcase material. I use the fleece for backings on kids quilts and charity quilts. The material I use to make pillowcases for everyone for Christmas. I can't afford LQS material for everyone's pillowcase so the cheap material works, that way everyone can have one. I have to make about 25 of them this year. Last year I used the flannel, but that was only on sale yesterday.

I'm with you. I went to the JoAnn's in Chattanooga, never again on Black Friday. Ladies waited in line for over an hour to get fabric cut. Some ladies had their husbands get in the checkout line while they waited in the cutting line. I waited over an hour to check out. The check out line snaked through the store. If I hadn't driven over an hour to get the craft supplies I went after I would have gone home empty handed. By the time I got to the check out my coupon for the discount on my total purchase had expired. I didn't realize it was only until 1.

I did not go to Joanne's but I do need some batting . Does anyone know where I can get the 25% off coupon and what type of sale is going on Sunday.

My daughter and I went yesterday and returned again today for more fleece - at $2.99 yard plus and additional 25% off at the checkout until noon made it well worth it - crazy lines both days but the savings was just too substantial to pass and wait for another day - only wish I had thought to pick up some batting as well.
